Clarksville Family Aquatic Center – Zero Depth Pool with Interactive Water Features, Plunge Pool with 154′ Water Slide & Tube Slide, Lap Pool, Family Changing Room, Children’s Sand Area with Play Apparatus, 2 Sand Volleyball Courts, Full Service Concession Area, All pools are heated for maximum enjoyment and comfort throughout the season!

Georgetown Drive-in – The Georgetown Drive-in opened in 1951, and the current owners family purchased it in 1965.  Open for their 50th season and still making memories

Jeffersonville Aquatic Center – The Aquatic Center & Skate Park features a 6-lane, 50-meter outside competition pool, a 6-lane, 25 yard competition and lap pool, zero depth entry family play pool, a new sprayground, two water slides, large deck for sun bathing, full service concessions, separate family locker room, paved walking trail, and a skate park.

Shakespeare in the Park – Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park offers opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the works of Shakespeare in the beautiful outdoor setting of Old Louisville’s Central Park. It’s FREE!  The Tempest June 3 – July 25, The Taming of the Shrew June 18 – July 25, Macbeth July 2 – July 26, All three plays will be performed in repertory July 14-July 26.

 

Summer Reading Programs

Barnes & Noble Imagination Destination – May 20th through Sept 2nd. Kids can earn a FREE book after they read eights books and log them on the reading sheet. Grades K-5.

Book Adventure – Kids in grades K-8 can search for books they have read, take quizzes on them, and earn prizes for their reading success. Prizes include chocolate bars, temporary tattoos, Highlights magazine and more.

Chuck E. Cheese – Earn 10 FREE tokens each time your child reads for 2 weeks in a row. Complete the form to claim the free tokens. A food purchase is required.

Half Price Books – Read a total of 300 minutes each month can earn $5 Back to School Bucks with the Feed Your Brain program. Parents may read to kids who are still learning.  This program runs through July and the HPB Bookworm Bucks coupons are valid through August 27.

Louisville Free Public Library –  The summer reading program starts June 1st.

New Albany Floyd County Library – Summer Reading Program

PBS Kids Summer Reading Camp – PBS teaming up with Education.com to offer a Summer Reading Camp. They have everything you need to host 10 fun weeks of reading camp. There is a new theme each week with topics like bugs, heros, music, animals and more!

Pizza Hut Book It! Program – This program has free reading adventure packs for parents to download, read and do activities. There are also recipes for children that tie back to certain books.

Pottery Barn Kids – They offer free storytime for kids on Tuesday at 11am. After kids attend 5 storytimes, they get a free gift. Plus, throughout the summer families are invited to read each book at the weekly story time. Kids receive a free book after they finish reading all the books on the list.

Scholastic Summer Challenge – Children can log in their reading minutes and earn rewards. Students can participate individually or as part of their school. The school that logs the most minutes reading will get a visit from the author of the Captain Underpants series. This program runs through Sept 5.
