Homeschool Field Trips

Our Favorite Homeschool field trip group is River City Field Trips!  You can check out their webpage at www.rivercityfieldtrips.org!  RCFT offers about 4 field trips a month that are open to all homeschoolers!

Here are some venues that offer field trips to individual homeschoolers (no group needed!):

The Cincinnati Museum offers homeschool programs to families (you do not need a group). You can check out their programs on their website.

Colonial Williamsburg Offer homeschool days each year.  The 2015 Fall Homeschool Days are September 12–27, 2015. More information is available on their website.

Conner Prairie offers homeschool programs to families (you do not need a group). You can check out their programs on their website.

Disney offers the Disney Youth Program for groups and for individual families.  More information is available on their website at http://www.disneyyouth.com/.

Great Wolf Lodge offers discounted rates for Sunday through Thursday overnight stays, and start at $129 for our Family Suites. The black out dates are during our busiest times: 10/6 – 11/2 and 12/19-12/31 for this year. Indiana Caverns Home educating families can “visit the ice age” Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays at a discounted rate in February. Check out the guidelines and call Monday thru Friday if you would like more information:
Homeschool is cool: Adult – $10.00, Child – $5.00 (ages 4-12; 3 & under are free).Just a few easy guidelines to get this special low rate: *Must use secret code – “Homeschool is cool” *Come Monday through Wednesday during the month of February * Arrive between 9am and 2pm * Pay for minimum one adult and two kids with no more than 10 to receive rate

The Indianapolis Children’s Museum offers homeschool programs to families (you do not need a group). You can check out the programs on their website.

Jamestown Settlement includes age-appropriate hands-on programs for students and family guided tours at both museums, as well as admission to Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center throughout the program dates. Upcoming Homeschool Program Days will be: September 12-27, 2015.  More information is available on their website.

The Kentucky Science Center offers field trip pricing for homeschooling families.  Reservations do need to be made in advance, but you do not need a group.  Their field trip information is available on their website

Legoland Florida offers Homeschool Days throughout the year.  Tickets are $10/students, $25/adults.  You can view their calendar on their website.

Marengo Cave offers “Homeschool Days” to families (you do not need a group) every Monday and Friday in February. One Tour – $7.25 per adult, $5.25 per child (ages 4-12): Both Tours – $8.25 per adult, $6.25 per child (ages 4-12).  You can call them Monday-Friday 9am-5pm to assist with any questions you may have at (812) 365-2705 ext 0 or visit their website.

The Newport Aquarium offers “Homeschool Days” to families (you do not need a group) a couple of times a year. You can check out their programs on their website.

Paoli Peaks offers “Homeschool Mondays” to families (you do not need a group).  Ages 7 to Adult are $25/each.  Price Includes a snow pass, ski or snowboard rental equipment, a group lesson, and lunch for each paying participant. Valid for students of ages 7 to Adult. You can check out their programs on their website.

Shaker Village has Homeschool Days the Second Tuesday of Every Month in 2015!  Enjoy reduced Village admission and Dixie Belle Riverboat cruises! $5 admission ages 6+, Free for children 5 & under (purchase tickets onsite at the Admission Booth) $4 Dixie Belle Riverboat admission, limited availability (April through October).  More information is available on their website.

Wonderworks Pigeon Forge offers Homeschool Days weekdays during February. Enjoy WonderWorks for $9.99 per person, up to 4 people per family. Just be sure to bring umbrella letter, association membership, or letter from local school board. Special discounts available for lazer tag (only $3+) and Wonders of Magic (only $11.99+)!
